If I delete the parasitic smog equiptment on my engine and move to march pulleys is there a certain belt that is required?

Yes, without a belt your car wont run for long before overheating and running out of battery power

With the march pulleys did you need a different sized belt? Since you need a 96.8" belt when you remove the smog pump, figure if the march pulleys needed a longer belt then just add the difference, if shorter, subtract. It's that easy. If I'm wrong then somebody correct me.

nope..you keep the same size belt with the smog delete pulley. its a smaller pulley, but GM did their homework and moved it out away from teh center of the motor, so it ends up being the same.

but..if you go with march pulleys you willneed a shorter belt. i know this because i just put them on my car. and i have the smog delete pulley too, and everything worked out well. i am at school right now, so i cant tell you how long my belt was though. i can post it if you want. i have the march #4000 kit.

question, why waste the money on the smog delete pulley when you can delete the smog pump for free? There is an article in the tech section on how to do it
