identify theese injectors

ok so i was at the junkyard today and decided to pikup some injectors, first i got some injectors awhile ago i think it was out of a 4.1 liter caddy "tbi and today i got some out off a 1981 6.0 liter caddy

the ones from the 4.1 are red prongs with # GM34085 B D 2 3 GM

the ones from the 1981 6.0 are black prongs # GM61906 4 22 1

i've searched but come up with nothing is there a list any where of injectors with there flow numbers. i really want to know if thees flow any more than the stock 5.0 orange prong injectors. hope someone knows more about theese than me

Regarding the "GM34085 B" injectors:

I had my hands on a pair of these awhile back. I never installed them on my engine, but I could not figure them out. I searched pretty hard, called some dealers, talked to some hard core TBI guys. I sent them back to the seller because they were not the number I bought.

I honestly have no clue what they are, and I put up one hell of a search and couldnt find anything. I would not install them without knowing the flow rating. I would either get them flow tested, or go and find out what injectors you need (information is on these forums), and search for ones with that specific number. That is a much better than pulling random injectors and trying to find out their flow rating, which can be a real pain.

I would think the 6.0 injectors would flow more, and then they COULD work, however you still need to find out the flow rating or you will not be able to tune the PROM to match the injectors.

thanks for the reply darkshot kinnda what i figured, i think the injectors u are talking about are prob a bit less than the stock or close to it, and i hope the black ones are a bit more , im planning on smogging my car this week so maybe in the next couple days, after smog i'll play with the injectors and see if they add any performance,

Remember that the injectors are always sized by the factory to meet the power requirements of the engines that they're installed into. For the 4.1 Cad v8, that was IIRC a 140 hp engine. The 6.0 Cad (368 cid) was rated higher, but not by much.... around 180 hp.

So either sets of injectors are about the flow-equal for a 305 TBI (i.e. 51 to 55 lbs/hr). Neither would flow as much as a copcar LO5 or as a late TBI LO5 from a light truck/van. All those are 61 to 68 lbs/hr. I think the Cad injectors have been discussed before on TGO in more detail if you search. HTH.

From the info that I have seen the 6.0L caddy injectors are equivalent flow to the 350 injectors, so figure 61 lb.

Now you guys caused it .. now I'll have to look at all my injectors, first see which ones I got in my car, since I was sure they were orange/orange

hmmm not green/white

However the pic on the diy-efi site isn't working, so I'm probably thinking of the wrong spot on the injectors
