A while back, I thought I had increased the fuel pressure all the way by adjusting the meter screw to where the spring was fully extended. When I took the throttle body off last night, I figured that I had actually lowered it as far as it could be by that means. Now the spring is fully compressed and needless to say, I'm quite pleased with what that did. Maybe my big screwup will help to keep someone else from making the same mistake.

i did the same thing when i first adjusted my fp.

tight spring = high pressure

loose spring = low pressure

i ran lean for a few months before realizing my mistake. i think i melted some plugs a bit, and cleaned out the cat

Yeah? Two of my plugs have been prone during the last few months to turning pitch black but the others are ok. It was the 1st and 3rd plugs. Could it be that it was so lean that the gas could not make it that far before going into the other cylinders?
