Ok the car is a 89 formula LO3 engine. I am getting a surging problem going down the hi-way trying to hold a steady speed and also under light acceleration. The car idles fine. And under wide open throttle it does good. I've narrowed it down to a fuel problem because I can clam off my return line to boost the pressure and the problem is gone, but under wide open throttle it starts to fall on its face on the upper RPM scale. So what gives???? Can anyone help me?????

What kind of RPM does it start to cut out? Have you replaced the fuel filter lately?

I had the same surging problems for two weeks. I started looking around and two of my plug wires were burned. Sorry I don't know about your fuel theory.

Check your TPS sensor.

 

ok, I replaced the fuel filter and replace the MAP,TPS,EGR,IAC. Everything is working right as far as these go. Brand new ingition system...............any other ideas........thanks for the help
