SENSOR, IAC, MAP, TPS QUESTION
SENSOR, IAC, MAP, TPS QUESTION
One day i was doing some work on my car and my friend took off the vacuum hose from the breather. He started the car up and ran it w/the hose plugged into the breather nut rod coming up from the tbi. Ever since my car has been real hard to start. I have to let it idle at about 1500 rpm b4 I can go anywhere in the mornings. Has this possibly messed with my sensors. Also my "CHECK ENGINE SOON" light comes on all the time since then. Any advice?

Did you read the code from the ecm? Do that and it should tell you exactly what's wrong with it. If you don't know how to read codes then check out this link.

Actually, that Tech Article is a little misleading. First, the ALDL is not identified by numbers, but letters - and the order in the Tech Article is backward.
Second, the two pins mentioned first in the article should not be shorted on anything other than the '82-'83 cars.
There are other problems, but you get the idea. This link may be helpful:
