Holley 7525 intake and 2" throttle body
Holley 7525 intake and 2" throttle body
Anyone using this setup with an adapter plate? Is it necessary grind the carb mounting pad for throttle plate clearance? The 7525 seems to have more "meat" for grinding (if necessary) than the Torker II. Also, does the EGR valve clear the 454 TBI IAC?
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, 7525 is wide enough for the 2" units.
I'll have to check on the EGR thing.

I can't see how the IAC will get in the way. You'll have a 1" spacer/adaptor so that will only give you more room to have EGR. I'm running the holley 2" and adaptor plate on an RPM intake, no problems except for bending fuel lines a little.

Thanks for the info guys.
Jon:
Are you using a 1" spacer under the stock Camaro hood? What air breather are you using?

Mike, I'm using an edelcrock pro blow (edelbrock "proflow"). I had to jack up the hood (adjust nuts front and rear) and cut out some underbracing under the stock hood. It was a PITA but I have the RPM intake which has a higher than stock (and performer) manifold. I also had to modify the air cleaner because the inside brace for the foam element was hitting the top of the injectors. There is no way to secure the air cleaner to the TB unit so I leave it resting on top. Oh well, good enough for now until I get a cowl hood.
