Hey, I have an LT1 cam on the way, and am hoping to get Vortec heads a little later on. I would like to get a performer rpm intake, and the one I see most on Ebay is #7101. Can this be made to work w/ the vortec heads? I know it will work w/ the Tbi w/ an adapter plate. If it does not work, is the performer TBI all that bad compared? or would Performer Vortec work better?

If you plan on keeping the Lt1 cam then I would go with the edelbrock performer (2116) for vortec and a holley adaptor plate.
If you had a major cam then I'd probably go with a single plane (most power). If you go with the RPM and adaptor plate, excpet to either do what I did or go with a new hood for more clearance.

Thanks for the response. I want to keep it from being a wild cam setup, as Turbochargers are in it's future, I just want to have a better powerband before I go through all that trouble.
