Timing Woes still........but getting better

Timing Woes still........but getting better

OK here we go, I got it up and running and mutch better. I pulles the wire and set the base timing but I can see the something will jerk the timing from 6* BTC to 12* BTC any Ideas what could cause this (remember this is with the Dist. unpluged.)

Fastchip said to check a Gear in the Top of the Dist. it could get play in it.

The module should advance the timing around 1200rpms when the EST bypass is disconnected. The timing will "step up" X number of degrees. This function is part of the limp home strategy. In limp home mode only the module controls the timing.

If the timing is jumping around 6 degrees at say 600rpms the problem lies elsewhere.

Well its about 600 rpm when this happens. It just jumped from 6*btdc to 12 *btdc at 600 rpm in park. When we go up the road it idles fine then when you put it under load it has little power and backfires
