Fuel Pump and TPS adjustments
Fuel Pump and TPS adjustments
I have an 82 Trans Am crossfire injection. Is there a much easier way to replace the Fuel Pump without removing almost everything to get to it?
Also, if anyone knows the adjustments to the TPS, please let me know. I get a little smoke when I start the TA.
Thanks!

Just drop the axle for the fuel pump.
You could cut a hole from the top, but thats not the right way and since the tank is about an inch underneath you could puncture it and blow your self up.
The TPS has nothing to do with the smoke. Thats bad valve seals, but not enough to worry about.

The smoke started when we put in the TPS, I haven't noticed any before we replaced it. The only thing im wondering is when warmed up at a dead stop, I keep hearing extra beats from the rear end area. When you hear the idle, there's an extra beat, seems like it's not timed right, but it is. Any suggestions?
