just wondering if this is overkill....

my friend with the 305tbi is thinking of now swapping to a 350 from scoggin dickey. he wants just a simple stock replacement one, like a 87-95 L05 motor or w/e the trucks and stuff have.

he said he'd leave it mostly stock, the only mods would really be a full exhaust and a cam swap, and a carburater intake with TB adaptor and open air element, and a nitrous kit. along with a new torque converter, posi and gears, should we install one of the holley 670 cfm TB's or will the stock one be fine? i think it'd be overkill to add more tb flow since the motor wont be that powerful... thanks 4 the help

I'd think the stock one would work fine. Get 350 injectors, 350 knock sensor and an '89 chip from a caprice with a 350 and you're there.

would i need just a computer chip, or the whole computer? some1 told me a while ago, that i can get a whole 350 tbi computer from a truck and be fine, can i just get the chip since i think the chip would be a lot less $$ than the whole thing. if i do, can i just get an aftermarket chip designed for a 350 tbi truck? like a hypertech or jet stage II or somethin along that line. thnax!
