open air cleaner questions..

Ok I was looking back in the past posts about this.. I found mr gasket non drop elmet part #1680 along with k&n 14x3 part #1650. Will this work on my TBI unit?? can I get rid of that stock spacer if I use the mr gasket air cleaner? I 'm running an edelbrock performer intake but it's not really much taller than the stock. the other question I have is the stock spacer has a hose to goes to the ds valve cover. what do I do with that? do I need one of those little valve cover filters? if so what part # & brand?

Hey see my reply to your other post- get the tbi inlet thing goes under the air cleaner base , it has a tube that the vent tube from the valve cover connects to . Works great.

ok I know what your saying about the hot air under the hood.. BUT.. I currently have the stock intake with the kn filter that fits it. I made a new lid that only covers the top of the air filter.. I have tried switching back and forth several times and there soooo much mooore power with the open air type setup.. I'd just like to find a nice chrome one..

I know what you mean about the hot air under the hood.. I open mine as well after driving in hot weather it it just about hot enough to kill you.
