TBI FAQ SITE. input your commonly seen questions and answers to those questions here
so that i can put up a site linked from the top of the page, like the diy board. for all the new guys asking the same questions. it will help them get their answers quicker, and us veterans with our typing time and helping others with not so regular questions.
ill start to show how i think a post here would work best to be added to as site later.

QUESTIONS :
can i put a 454 aka 2" throttle body on a stock 305
ANSWER:
yes, it can be done. fuel pressure increase is a must however, ive been working with the idea for a while, on and off the car etc..
results. 454tbi with slight increase in pressure caused the car to still run lean, increasing knock counts, retarding timing, decreasing milage drastically, and causing a lag off idle acceleration, which made my car seem like it had an higher stall converter, spin the tires and seemed to rev faster, but the minute i would get knock, the cars acceleration would die out as rpm increased, if cruising at 60, the ecm would correct the mixture, acceleration from hwy cruising was increased. all in all, chip changes are probably a necessity if you want a 454tbi on a stock or barely modified l03.

OK. Here's one I see a lot, but gets different responses every time.
"What is the factory CFM of a TB on an 305? Or 350? Or 454?"
Now I've read an article in Hot Rod Mag. that the factory cfm rating on a 305 and 350 TB are the same, GM just used different injectors. According to Turbo City, the stock cfm rating is 535cfm (585cfm for their modified one). And a stock 454 TB is 620cfm. But on here I've read on the 305 it's 485, or 435, or 385, etc., etc., & different on the 350s, etc. It's different every time.
Someone needs to look this up somehow and confirm the ACTUAL flow rate of these TB units. Call GM or something & get actual #s and flow rates. Or possibly bench flow them before and after the "Ultimate TBI" mods. Even that alone would help answer a lot of questions.

Here's my thoughts...
1) What is best ignition timing for stock LO3?
I went through the archives and there were quite a few differences, but it seems like most think 3* to 4* is best if you don't use premium, and then 6* to 8* with premium but then there was concern about the knock sensor...which seems to me wouldn't be a problem with premium....
You guys are far more knowlegable on TBI's than myself.

I miss seeing the sun shine down on the black #3 car.
I'm old enough to know better, but still too young to care!--Wade Hayes

also add: ZZ4 cam is too big, you don't NEED 1.6 roller rockers with any of them.

To add to the open element, some people still will ask whether to go with drop or non drop. Some people just want to be told what to do. May I suggest getting a list from all TBI users with OE's to name the brand and the trouble (if any) they encountered installing it. That might be helpful for new members.
