i have a 92 305 with a tbi and was wondering what is the best chip to get for it and how much it is

I have tested quite a few and jet came out on top for regular chips, you can get a custom one but be ready to spend alot of $$$$
If you order directly from JET you can get the speed limiter removed for nothing.

The chips off the shelf are crap. I've looked at the hypertech thermomaster and some others and I have yet to notice any real difference. They change a couple of things that are universal but don't do jack. Either you find a local guy to do a custom burn or you call up fastchip and ask for a custom eprom.
I burn my own eproms so trust me when I tell you they do almost jack. I'm just trying to save you money for something like intake etc.

hypertechs stage1 chip. moved tcc lockup up 8 mph, and increased spark timing by a few slight degrees from idle to 1400rpm
THATS IT. i could do that in 2 minutes. THEY RAPE YOU. do it yourself. i bought all the stuff for under 240. and ive burnt 6 chips in a week, and ive already got the hang of it.

One of the biggest advantages of a performance chip is the removal of the top speed limiter, what good is any power if you can only go 110mph etc. Off the shelf chips usually don't have a the speed limiter removed. You need to special order it. Call summit and get the direct # for JET. Besides a chip will help future mods make more power too.
