OK,I can that everybody here knows what a TBI is. I will try.

OK,TBI is Throttle Body Injection.It has two heavy duty fuel injectors above the Throttle
Body.TBI is similar to carb.TBI has less parts to break than TPI.The TBI is located in the center of the intake manifold,under the air cleaner assembly.

OK,TPI is an intake manifold. With TPI,every cylinder has a fuel injector,and air tube runners. Unlike TBI,TPI is a rectangular intake that cover pretty much of the engine.TPI shares a Throttle body,without the injectors above the throttle body.The Throttle body controls the air intake and idle air control and throttle position sensor.TPI has a Mass Air flow sensor.The throttle body in TPI is located in the front of the intake. Both the plenum and the intake manifold are connected.
=============================================
Please,for those that have a better understanding of TPI and TBI please do not mock or scorn me.I just state what I believe of the difference.If you know anything that I quoted wrong or missiong please tell me before making me look like a jackazz.

TBI looks like you have a garbage can lid in the middle of your engine.

TPI looks like you have a metallic spider humping your engine

One way to find out a lot of info. about your car is to type in the VIN in the VIN decoder on the homepage. This can be found on your insurance card or in the lower driver's side corner of your dash under the windshield.

Enkil,
that's one of the most interesting ways I've ever heard TBI and TPI distinguished from one another.

Short, sweet, and to the point... if a little odd.

Then you found the right place, welcome. Oh, sometimes the garbage can lid looks funny. 8^)
