anyone have one? are they worth the $, they seem to be like $125. 1" spacer work with a 14x3 open element under stock hood?

Save your money. A spacer increases plenum volume which is a good way to add power. However, on a stock motor your money is best spent on other items that will yeild greater power gains (exhaust, intake tuning etc). In addition, you will have problems running a spacer taller than 1/2" as the stock linkage and TV cable (for auto cars) will not hook up correctly (not enough slack) and will cause idle and shifting problems.

i've got a half inch spacer that i got off ebay for about $25 from t&t performance products or something, it seemed to increase low end torque, and didn't really effect anything else.
