Make sure the throttle body will fit onto the intake manifold, plug and play. More advanced searching will see what injectors, throttle body, computer, and other small aspects should be used. Enjoy

Also dont forget you need equipment to burn proms. Just like a carb, the EFI has to be calibrated to the motor. The basics can be had for around $100 or so from moates.net.

Re: Cant take tbi carb prob. anymore..HELP
Hey deminted, I've been struggling with the idea of burning my own chips also. Have an 89 RS with a 305 and TBI, this is my very first computer controlled/fuel injected car I've ever owned. From the tech article it doesn't seem all that complicated, but I'm not even sure what all the sensors are and what thier function is on the car. Some guys post about how easy it is and others are asking lots and lots of questions about tuning. Also the car has headers and some of the TBI mods suggested on the board, so I'm not really sure of what I'm starting with. So I keep thinking, why not carb the thing, at least I understand them. Any opinions here?? Hey I'm 58 years old, I'm forgetting more stuff than I learn every day.

It all depends on the engine you're going to use TBI on. I would definitely try to find out what cam is in there and if there have been any other mods done to the engine. Do you know what the engine came out of?
