TPS Voltage Good Or bad

Well I am in the process of getting my 670 set up. Now I have not started the car but I was getting the TPS voltage and the best I can get now it .68 to wide open @ 4.50

Is this correct or what numbers should I be shooting for. I was under the inpression that .68 was ideal @ idle and 4.6 and up was where we was wanting to be. But I can't get the WOT voltage up with out raising the Idle voltage.........

ANY IDEAS

I believe those numbers are close enough, ie 4.50V are within normal WOT specs, but maybe Grumpy knows what the PROM has built into it for WOT.

I thought WOT voltage wasn't an issue just as long as the voltage change was dramatic over a short period of time. I know that's how TBI systems work with the tcc lock/unlock and most other operations.

hey brain
i set mine at .54 or try to get around that i dont want it to be any higher because i already run rich and that would just cause it to run more rich. i dont know if this is true but i herd that if you go above .6 it would set off a code. can someone clear this up for me?

Brian as long as the Voltage is large enough to kick the Computer into WOT range nothing else matters. at idle like anything belo 1 volt the computer reads it as a basic 0 anyways. Well not rally, but it doesnt matter to it because it is controlling your idle with the IAC. I would sy your fine unles 4.5Volts is below WOT mode.

Isn't it funny, I just stepped in from playing with the TPS on my Holley Pro-Junktion TBI.

I had the same problem, the idle voltage won't go below .640 and the WOT is 4.7 (signal is 4.9).

The problem I'm having is with WOT.

Idle, choke, acc pump, cruise, and midrange (to 3/4 throttle) is almost perfect. As soon as I go WOT it breaks up BAD (sounds/feels like an MSD rev limiter).

I'm gonna post this myself in a min, just thought you'd like to know you're not the only one out there.

Good luck,

JK

PS, I'm using the Holley controller, not a factory ECM.
