tranny or engine rebuild first
I was planning on rebuilding my 305 TBI with some World Products Torquer heads, LT1 cam, 1.6 rocker arms, Edelbrock intake, and a holley 670cfm TBI
and my transmission with a TCI street fighter lock up TC, transgo shift kit, vette servo, and tranny cooler
which should i do first or should i just save up the money and do them both at the same time.
134,000 miles on engine and tranny
------------------
1990 5.0 TBI
1 5/8" Edelbrock TES headers, 3" Catco hi-flow series cat, 3" Aero-chamber cat-back, K&N 14x3 flat based open element, MSD 8mm Heli-Core plug wires, AC delete

Why would you rebuild a 305? Or you mean you want to build up the one you have? The shortblock has another 70k miles in it very easy if you've taken care of it. Leave the tranny alone. Do it when it dies. The tranny cooler is a good idea though.

Man if this aint the age old question, "Which came first the Chicken or the Egg" I have read articles that say the 700 R4 tranny, ( which I am thinking you have) can handle a good about of power. I would say engine. I know that is my first choice.
