i just went to a jy and found a 89 camaro v6 with a manual tran. i think its a t-5 but i don't know, i have heard that the t-5 can bolt to a 350(l05) is it true can it?i have the 700r4 right now and i don't like it.another question is will the driveshaft be long enough or will i have to take the drive shaft from the t-5, and will bolt up to my rear end? please help i need to know soon so i can get it.

yes it should bolt up to it as long as its a 3.8 v6, i know the 90 degree 6's have the same bolt pattern in back, but the 2.8s have a smaller pattern, hope this helps ya

Save yourself some trouble, find a v8 T-5. A T-5 uses the same driveshaft as the 700R4.

you would at least need the v8 bellhousing so you can bolt it to the v8. You would also need the v6 driveshaft because the splines on the tailshaft are different.

The splines on the input shaft are different too. Dont even bother with a V6 transmission on a V8 engine. Just find a V8 transmission.

I second Kevin. A V6 T-5 has a lower torque rating. They also have wider gear spreads than the V8 one's.
