Nice running LO3 at the track today

I was at the Super Chevy even today and I noticed a light blue RS that was racing. Well in the end he pulled off a best of 15.84 and that was after hitting the brakes right before the end to make it clock at 76mph or something. I first noticed it when it ran a 15.9 at I think 85mph and he then later ran a 15.86 before I left. Anyway the thing about this car is that it was an LO3 with 150k on it and nothing done to it except a catback (maybe just a muffler because he said it was magnaflow) and a dual looking homade intake that put one filter above to the front right of the engine bay, and one above the pulleys. It even had regular ignition pieces on it, nothing crazy. It was an auto with stock rear. He said he had no traction problems with the nice looking cheap tires he had. I just thought that it was a good time for the situation. I could not get any better than a 15.9 with my modded T-5 RS, but I did have major traction problems. Anybody have anything to comment?

For a stock trim RS with an exhaust and in a good state of tune, that seems about right.

Wow, my stock long block L05 TBI with DIY prom tuning, high flow cat, flowmaster 50 series, a 2,600 Yank torque converter and 3.73 gears would have propelled my fullsize van over your car, lol. I ran a 16.1 @ 84 with a stock internal 210 HP 350 TBI.
