Just picked this up on a good deal. Its pretty much completely stock w/ a T-5 and about 190K miles. The car idles up and down between.....I'd say...... 700-1500 rpms for about 30 seconds or so then idles steady at 750. It idles there with no problems. But when driving if I put it in nuetral or push in the clutch it will idles at 1500 rpms until I come to a complete stop and then it will go back to a steady 750.

I was just wondering if this way a common problem and what I could do to fix it.

 

Anyone want to help out the newbie?

With 190 k I would start with usual stuff, and also check for vac leaks around TBI. Clean IAC valve and cavity. Check if TPS is worn out (flat spot, etc). Get a scanner (or WinALDL), see what ECM does.
