Question about 454 TBI...

Do all the sensors and such bolt right up to the 454 TBI? I was looking at some stuff on ACDelco.com and saw a picture of one. The IAC was different and I know the TPS will not be the same as mine. I ask because as we all know, that might not be the picture of the TBI that the PN matches.

Anyone know where I can get one? I've tried all the junkyard in the book. The dealer wants $280 for it. I'm about to buy it but would rather get a junkyard unit.

Hey thanks. I just searched thru the archives again and saw that I could also bore mine out to 48mm. If I did do that, where would I get throttle plates for it?

48mm, huh? That just happens to be the same size as the LT1 throttle body. Maybe get parts from there?

48mm is the size on all multi port ie you can get the blades from a tpi or lt1 throttle body but they can be a pain to get off I don't know how they put them in but they do have a no.15 torque head but they are a pita to get out. It's worth a try.

P.S. the 502 ram jet also uses the 48mm throttle body not too bad.

The new engine is in but I am still having some small problems.

That would be too cool. AutoGon350 has a stock TB from his 305 TPI we swapped out a year ago.

Thanks for the tips.
