im almost sure its your valve seals our motor are notorouis for this, but im very curouis im in the middle of stuffin my LO3 with a LT1 cam, how does the car run, and how much of a difference does it make, i've looked up the Cam specs online, and obvouisly the duration is much longer then our whimpy stock LO3 cam, but i wanna know hands down what thiscam feels like in the motor that has a not so beefy reputation

thanks mike

do you still have the stock vavle springs??? If you do then its prob valve stem seals b/c of the extra lift of the lt1 cam .. vavle stem seals are a big probelm with lo3's

change your springs!!!!!dont drive the car until you do, you could run the risk of floating valves due the the spring binding on the extra lift produced by the LT1 cam i've had a couple of friends do the same, it just a matter of time more or less like a time bomb waiting to let go!!!

nathan,

i did more research on the LT1 cam, our stock LO3 springs will handle the cam's lift, i called Jim Pace GM performance in northern ohio and the Tech guy said our spring will work fine, if you want better springs Summit carries springs from CompCams for about $57 just tell them you have a LT1 cam in a LO3 i called and they found the springs i needed, but im going to just going to keep my new stock springs i purchased tonight.

later mike
