How do you remove the servo...

I tried for a while on an extra 700R-4 my buddy has. That dang thing just won't come out. I got the big snap ring dealy out, and cover comes out about 1/8" and then won't go any further. I want to know how this thing comes out before I go force mine and break something.

Use an awl and stick it into one of the two "slots" around the edge of the bore and pry out the rubber o-ring. Then snip the o-ring and pull it out. The servo cover should pop right out after that. Obviously that destroys the o-ring, but you were gonna replace it anyway, right?

Thanks for the answer. I asked on this board because it's the only one I get decent responses at. All the others and I get OPINIONS, well opinions aren't gonna get the servo cover off. That's all
