On a stock motor no. Spend that $80 and get an LT1 cam. A spacer does increase plenum volume, which is good, but on a stock motor you can make that $80 go a lot further.

Re: spacer

Once again ... does anyone have any pictures of the open space modification ? I know how to do it to the 1 inch spacer I got, but not quite sure how you do it to the intake manifold ???

And what's the difference in power range and drivability... two hole spacer... vs. open spacer with opened up intake manifold ? Would the second one be more for mid and high rpm power ? What about torque range, would it move up down ?

Re: spacer

open plenum spacer increases top end performance and doesnt really hurt low end too much on these engines because these motors were built for torque at the lower end of the rpm range, i havnt put one on my motor caus i do not want to run a spacer and then a nitrous plate..

Re: spacer

AN LT1 CAM?????????????????????????????? ON A STOCK MOTOR??????????????????????????????????????????????????? HELL NO WORST ADVISE EVER, YOU MESSING AROUND OR WHAT SHIFTY? YOUR CAR WILL RUN LIKE CRAP WITH AN LT1 CAM, AND BY THE WAY I PUT A SPACER ON A STOCK L03 MPG'S/ TORQUE NOTICABLY IMPROVED.

LOL AN LT1 CAM ON A STOCK MOTOR THATS 80 BUCKS TO BUY IT, A FEW HOURS TO PUT IT IN AND A FEW MORE TO PULL IT OUT WHEN YOU REALIZED WHAT YOU'VE DONE, UNLESS YOU FEEL LIKE SPENDING A COUPLE HUNDRED EXTRA DOLLARS TO BUY TUNNING EQUIPMENT AND DONT MIND TUNNING FOR A COULPLE MONTHS TO GET THE CAR RUNNING AS GOOD AS IT DID BEFORE THE SWAP
