No fuel pressure
1991 5.0L TBI I have put in a brand new fuel pump, new screen (of course), new fuel filter, blew out fuel line from flexible hose to fuel fileter, still I get no fuel pressure. OBD1 shows no errors. Any ideas? Senior Member

Re: No fuel pressure
That's scary.
Mine is not working right now either. I measured the fuel pressure and could not get the dial to move at all. The car tries to start and then stalls out. I see fuel at the injectors, but it must not be enough. The car will stay running on starter fluid.
I would think that it would be either your fuel psi regulator or voltage to the pump. If the regulator is stuck full open, what would that do? Anyone?

Re: No fuel pressure
I'm not sure why, but my fuel pressure came back to life when I resolved the problem with my TBI catching fire. I'm not sure why the distributor has any influence on the fuel pressure, but it did...

Re: No fuel pressure
The problem is pretty straight forward. Either the fuel pump is not working or there is a clog somewhere. Where are you checking the fuel pressure at? If I remember correctly, there is a fuse connected to the fuel pump...check your fuseblock first, then try checking the fuel pressure before the fuel filter.

Re: No fuel pressure
Do you actually have no fuel pressure? or is there simply not any gas coming out of the injectors?? If the injectors are not firing it most deffinately can be caused by the dissy. The ecm requires a reference pulse from the dissy to open the injectors.
