open air element
open air element
Im still confused on some things after reading previous open element post.First is it better to use the flat base or dropped, and if dropped do I use the 1 1/4 or 7/8. Another question is that some people say leave the iat out and away from metal and others say put it in the air cleaner. Which is best and is there a dif?

Re: open air element
This is the drop assembly I'm running:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=230128510278
Doesn't list the measurements, but fits fine. I drilled a hole in the underside and screwed the IAT in. Right now I've plugged the vacuum line that used to run to the assembly but I plan on hooking it back up when I have the time to drill some more. Had no issues with it, and that includes some "spirited" test drives.
