TBI Mod's.
I'm thinking about making the following Mod's to my 89 LO3 in a 85 Camaro and want to see want you guys think.The Following Mod's already done...Comp Cam, must be mild, idles pretty good.TPI exhaust manifolds with three inch pipes.Open air cleaner element.3.42 posi gears.Performance chip.Looking at the following Mod's.S/R Torquer heads.Holly TBI manifold Holly 670 TBI.Want do you guys think of these Mod's.The 305 is freshly rebuilt, the fuel pump test at 16 lbs max.Machanic said if I install the big Holly TBI that I will have to getsomeone to make some serious Chip Tuning to get it to run right.Appreciate any comments...

first lose the exhaust manifold idea and get headers and then second learn to tune your own chips and read the stickies

Regarding the Holley TB, I'd search and read these forums carefully about that piece. It appears to me that you can get as good performance and less headaches by having your stock TB ported. Your TB ported will flow in the 590 to 625 cfm range, which is plenty for a L03. If you go this route have the injectors cleaned and flowed while your at it. Search the web on xtreme-fi and cfm-tech for some companies that port and massage stock TB's.

Thanks for the advice. Took a look at CFM-TECH Thottle bodies.Looks like a cheaper & easy way to go. I may go with the Edelbrock Header setup.I've got the Laptop, Winaldl, and Tuner R/T.I guess I could get the burner and some chips and dive right in.Just retired and plenty of time, but maybe over my head.Thanks again.

it may seem like its over your head but once you actually start buring your chips things will make a lot more sense to you
