Fuel Problem

My Buddies 88 T/A stock L03 has just developed a problem.
If he takes off with half throttle it starts fluttering and loses power.
If he lets off a little it starts running ok. If he takes off real easy it will pickuo and run ok. If he is going along 30 mph and gives it 3/4 pedal it starts missing and falls on it's face until he let off a little and then it streightens out as long as he is easy on the throttle. Do you think this is a trash in the line problem, or injector gone bad or whatever.
Input would be appreciated.

Re: Fuel Problem

I would say start by looking for vacume leaks...especially around the egr. I would also check and see that the egr is operating correctly.

Re: Fuel Problem

Check Fuel pressure while in park under various RPM's. TBI fuel pressure should be steady 13 PSI. If it drops significantly you got tired FP or ripped fuel pump to feed through in tank hose.
