Yeah, your probably right. Thats a 929 type cam. Not much better then stock. You wouldnt even notice much of a difference.

My crate 350 came with the GM version of it. The motor was a complete dog with that cam. The power was done and gone by 4k.

Re: edelbrock tbi cam
Need we spell it out for you. We know the cam. The cam rivals the stock "929" cam. It is not even noticeable over stock. I would recomeend something a little hotter. 214/214 or so, of course you will need to burn chips. If you don't want to burn chips, leave the engine STOCK.
Re: edelbrock tbi cam
I PUT IN THE EDELBROCK CAM AND PUT ON SOME TUNE PORT HEADS. AND IM VERY PLEASED WITH THE CAM . I ALSO PUT ON ROLLER ROCKERS , DOUBBLE TIMMING CHAIN,AND PERFORMANCE BALENCER. BASICALLY THE CAM IS WORTH IT( COMPUTER COMPATABLE ALSO). I HAVE IT THATS FIRST HAND INFO . NOT OPINION ON SOMTHING I DONT OWN LIKE A LOT OF INFO GIVEN ON THIS SITE.

Competition cams makes a very nice XE grind cam for a computer engine. The XE 256 computer cam would run VERY nice in a stockish L03/L05.

Re: edelbrock tbi cam
Like said above, something like a base XE grind would be good. Also a single pattern would probably go well with the TPI heads as the I/E flow is fairly close. Maybe a 208/208, 210/210, or similar with a 112 LSA if this is a truck. It will have good vacuum and make good low/midrange torque with the smaller runner TPI heads.
