stallin issue

Hey guys i have a 1987 K5, 350 TBI w/ a 700r behind it. I was having problems recently with it over heating in traffic, new ignition module fixed that. I have put a new fuel filter on, new coil but now a new issue came up. I am driving down the road, slow down and go to turn left, my truck ALWAYS dies, the engine just shuts off and i have to pull over and hope it restarts. It wont do this turning right.. what could be the problem?

Re: stallin issue

K5 it is most likely that you have a fuel starvation. If I recall, 87 used plastic baffles inside the gas tank to keep fuel sock from uncovering during turns. The baffles are known to break off as tank ages.

You can verify if baffle has broken off by fueling up and making couple of sharp turns. It should be ok with full tank, but once you get below 1/4 tank sharp turns should cause your engine to stall.
