New at TBI need info
Everyone here seems to know allot about the GM TBI systems so I thought I would post. I am converting from an electronic carb to TBI from an 89 Chevy truck the heads on my motor are pre 86 right now with the angel center bolts. I have an Edelbrock performer intake on it know I am trying to decide if I should leave the intake with the adaptor plate or if I should use the factor intake. The problem with the factor intake I have is its for 87 and newer heads I know you can fix the 4 center mount holes but I though I saw on the internet where someone had made angled washers to make it work better. If you think I should go with the factory intake any ideals on how to make it work the best would be appreciated.

Use what you have now with an adapter plate or use another carb manifold. The TBI intake is pretty crappy in comparison.
