engine dieing
Its hard to explain but ill do my best. When you start the car it idles for a split second then drops RPMS and dies. STart it up and it does it again. Start it again and rev it up for about 5 seconds and let up and it will idle. It SEEMS that the colder it is the more likely it is to do it.
I have no idea what this is or were to start. any help would be greatly apprcieated.
the car is a 92 RS 305 700R4. All stock with only 96,000 on the ticker. Thanks again

Re: engine dieing
With colder temperatures engine needs more fuel. You did not mention how engine behaves once it is running at normal operating conditions. It is possible that you have couple of problems:
1) Low fuel pressure - stock TBI needs about 11 to 14 PSI to be happy. TBI will run with even lower fuel pressure, but start-up and acceleration will be severely impacted to say the least.
2) IAC is stuck or gummed-up
3) Possibly weak spark.
4) Malfunctioning TPS and or CTS
