FOUND...A cheap TBI Cleaner!

A while back I posted that I was looking for a cheap SOAKING solution for a tbi. A 1 gallon jug of carb cleaner will run ya about 50 bucks if your going to soak it...so heres what I did.

I bought a can of carb cleaner. I tore the TBI down and used the can of carb cleaner to clean just the top porton. Then I bought a 1 gallon jug of Acetone (which is also the first chemical listed on the can of carb cleaner) and soaked all the remaining parts in the Acetone. (I used my oil drain bucket and had no problems with it eating the plastic after soaking it for 3 days.)

The Acetone soaked parts were just as clean, if not cleaner than the part cleaned with the carb cleaner...and I paid about 10 bucks for it.

So in my opinion, if you decide to soak it...Acetone is the way to go...and there was NO RESIDUE WHAT SO EVER!

I thought this might be helpful to others.
