IDK thats what TBI chips guy told me.. but im not sure his exact words put it in the water jacket.....

It's not a freeze plug.
It goes in the pass side block drain hole.
All SBCs, from 55 up, have that hole. Before there was the necessity for a knock sensor, there was usually a pipe plug in it.
Take the pipe plug out of your block and put the KS there instead. Don't forget to put a bit of sealer on the threads, and don't over-torque it, as that makes it SUPER sensitive. Use the Loctite/Permatex "automotive pipe thread sealer with Teflon" and about 12-15 ft-lbs.

If you using block hugger headers you won't be able to install it in the drain. I need to find somewhere to install mine. I'll probably re-thread the hole above the oil filter to NPT.
