chugging

Ok so...

Awhile ago was having problems with the car before the fuel pump issue...
Well was able to take the car out for a drive today and the issue is still there... When you accelerate sometimes it will make like a chug noise when you first press the gas or a few times it will make this noise then will start to pick up speed and what not... Any idea on my problem?

Re: chugging

are you going uphill? liek up on on ramp or something? whats the timing set at? if thats the case try taking it out of overdrive and see hot it feels, my old 305 used to ping going uphill or on ramp in overdrive because the torque multiplication was decreased in overdrive causing the engine to overwork and ping.
