Advice for my F with Tbi

Just bought a 91 base firebird with t-tops, all loaded up, and a doggy L03 tbi 305 set up, looking for opinions aside from throwin a fresh 350. Will a better cam, intake, headers, and good ol fashion holley 4 give me any reasonable pwr improvement? It is as stock as can be and a nice california car with tons of emissions mumbo jumbo. Should i bother to help it out or just wait till i can afford a nice 350.

Re: Advice for my F with Tbi

Check out the "ultimate TBI" articles on the tech articles section of this site. It has a ton of cheap or free mods that you can do to TBI in order to help power out. I also understand that exhaust is one of the most restrictive things on our cars, so before you crack open the engine, let it breathe.

I've got a TBI and I've done a ton of research on it, and while you can get a little more life in it, if your asking for more than about 200 hp or so (rough estimate, don't quote me) its far cheaper to just go the 350 route.

I'm simply following the ultimate TBI stuff when i get to that point, and then saving the real money for when i can afford to replace the motor
