ECM
Hey guys. Thanks to your help I'm slowly figuring out whats up with this 350 (L05) that was supposed to be an L03 when I bought the. Its been confusing but there are definitely worse things in life than thinking you bought a 305 and getting a 350. Only problem is the swap was done half-a** and I'm having to verify everything.
So it still has the 305 ECM. I know its not running at optimum like that. The question is, I'm gonna learn to tune eventually and maybe order a custom chip to cover me until then.
Will tuning chip tuning solve the issue or is it important that I actually get a 350 computer and then proceed with tuning?

Re: ECM
The computer (ECM) is the same for a 305 or a 350. It is the calibration that differs. This is held in the EPROM, which is a removable chip.
You can get a 350 calibration (PROM) from a Caprice. However, they are a heavier car and the tune will be adjusted for that.
