injectors cut out

this is the third time im trying this and im gettin REALLY CHOKED. i type and type and type and hit post and says im not signed in.... GRRRRRRRRRR

\this time wont be so detailed haha

anyways,
i have swapped an 88 305 camaro tbi into my 94 Jeep YJ. Im running full emissions and a single 2.5" exhaust with cat. The motor idles and runs ok, but it bogs and lags. the throttle response is very slow and takes a while to come back to idle. the gas tank doesnt stay pressurized, as it doesnt suck air when i take the cap off. You can also actually SEE the injector cut out when u open the linkage under the hood at higher rpm (just realized i only noticed the passenger side cut out, not sure about the drivers side). this is my main worry right now

the motor is brand new, with a comp cam http://www.compcams.com/Cam_Specs/Ca...?csid=197&sb=2, an MSD 8366 disty, and an optima yellowtop.

so it charges and starts fine. I ran the vacuum lines according to a link on this site somewhere.

could this be a prom problem? no codes come up

any ideas would be greatly appreciated,
and i will post any info u need that might help,
thanks

Re: injectors cut out

Sounds like the wiring to the TPS is reversed. IOW: the TPS is reporting WOT when at idle. What ahppens is that when you open the thottle the ECM cuts back on the fuel as it thinks the throttle is closing.

Try this, at idle air cleaner off, flip the TPS lever on the TBI toward the open position (don't move the throttle). See if the injectors cut back on fuel.

Note that a scan tool will also show is the TPS is wired backwards.

The other possibility is that the fuel pump pressure is dropping off.

RBob.
