TBI convertion
TBI convertion
I am converting an 88 cutlass with a CCC to TBI from an 89 Chevy truck. When I started it the first time it started right up and ran smooth but the RPM was high and I had a vacuum leak between the adapter and intake. I took it apart to fix the leak at the same time I did the mod to the TBI that will let in more air. I put it all back together now it will barley start let alone run is they’re something I am missing?
Re: TBI convertion
Sorry I should have said that No its a chevy 350 with mild RV cam. One more thing I checked the TPS volts it is from .4 low end to 4.0 WOT I can not get it any higher on the low end.
Re: TBI convertion
I took 3 of the plugs out and they are black looks like from running to rich I did not check them before the swap so I dont know how long they have been like that. Anyone know how long it would take a plug to foul due to running rich? The TBI was only running for a few min not even long enough for the car to get hot so I am guessing they where that way before I started the convertion. Would that explaine why it ran with a vacuum leak it was leaning it out?
