what aluminum head options are for us LO3 guys
I have heard about the 113 L98 vette heads, and that they are a good choice because they have the same compression ratio. But what other options do we have? Thanks

There's the TrickFlow Super 23 cylinder heads, those are the ones I'm looking at getting for my LO3.

Those heads have a 56cc chamber so your compression ratio will go up. As far as I know the stock heads have a 58cc chamber.

Why you want aluminum?
The only budget oriented options would be 113 heads, the L98 heads, vortec heads, maybe patriot heads, or get 081 [305TPI] heads, or port what ya got. Everything else will be $$$. Vortec you need to get a different intake manifold to run though.

it's been suggested to me to get aluminum because they are cheaper to port plus the weight saving. I also want to go get a cam that would push the limits of my stocker heads, i don't want to ride on the limit when i can have something that can take more then what i want to throw at it..

Basically unless you find a good deal, aluminum wont be cheap.
What cam are you going with? Whats your target whp?
