Vac line from Intake Manifold, Where does it go?

Well me and bud bought a 90 RS with the 305 motor.
We bought it knowing the car wouldn't start with out fuel being dumped into the TB. So one fuel pump change later the car starts perfectly but we noticed on the Intake Manifold theres a vacuum connector thats not plugged. If you cover it the engine idles a lot better when when it's open. It's obvious what ever connects there is missing so the question is what is supposed to be connected there?

Thank for the help!

if you could take a picture and post it up that would help a ton.

covering it up makes it idle better most likely cuz your not bleeding vacuum out.

Re: Vac line from Intake Manifold, Where does it go?

Hey thanks for the quick reply.
I'm not near the car as I'm at work right now but I have a friend who will get a pic of it and post it in a little bit.

Let me try to explain it better,

The line I refer to is only accessible if the intake canister is off.
It is behind the TBI and is a metal piece that sits up on top of the intake manifold that has a vacuum nipple on the metal piece.

Hope this helps.
I'll have my friend load the pic to better help soon.

im 90% sure thats the MAP sensor vacuum line. mine got knocked loose when i did my heater core bypass and it caused me about 2 months and countless hours of headaches.

if it is the MAP then its going to plug into the bottom of the box on the passenger side wiring harness.

my main camera is with a friend at a moment but ill try to get a pic of the MAP sensor for ya

Thanks!

So the MAP sensor line is on the passenger side near the wiring harness?
I'll have to check and see if the hose line is there and if so this makes it a quick fix. If you could get a pic I'd be greatly appreciative!

Thanks again!

I think he means the sensor itself is on firewall passanger side. the line goes from nipple on mani to the sensor on firewall. sensor is a electrical devise feeding the ECU with VAC data..
