I have a 1989 camaro with 200k miles. runs great but idles rough. when a/c is on it runs rougher. w/o a/c it runs 800rpm, w a/c on 600rpm. rich smell at idle. past emmisions by 2 pts w/ high hydrocarbons. all stock 305 tbi has high perfomance fuel pump. no codes. help please before I drive the wife crazy.

Man, I have the exact same issue.. I've replaced a few bad sensors and done alot of work to my car, but none of them were actually the culprit, I'm still dealing with this problem. I was within a few points of failing my emissions test too. So I definitely know how you feel.

Good luck getting it fixed. It's always the little things that will seem to drive you nuts trying to figure out too.
