305 TBI vs Carb

So I currently have an 87 Camaro with a LG4. Its pretty much stock (cold air intake and K&N Air Filter added), and it runs ok. I've recently found a 91 Camaro RS for sale locally and it's running a 305 TBI (L03?). What kind of differences would I see going TBI over a carb? Would the TBI system still need the 3-5 minute warm ups? Would I see any better throttle response? MPG's? I really hate having to sit in my driveway for what seems like an eternity waiting for my car to warm up before I can drive it away.

The differences you will notice going from Carb to TBI are:

Much better throttle response
Turn the car on and go
Better MPG's

Hope this helps.

Re: 305 TBI vs Carb

Thanks for the reply. Those are exactly the things I want out of my car. My car is in better shape but the 91 RS would make me happier in the end. I think I might grab it and part out mine to fix up the 91. Most of the body and interior parts from an 87 Z-28 would be compatible with a 91 RS right?

I would think so, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else can comment.

the majority of the parts will swap easily. Not sure about the speedo cluster and such.
