This is the throttle body on my car. I had one put on and I'm wondering if the reason it slowed down so much was because it was from a 350 or 454... here's a picture of it. Is this what a stock one looks like? Mine looks really plugged up with fuel... any suggestions?

 

Cant tell for sure with the spacer ring on it, but it looks like a standard TBI. Can you get the PNs/colors off of the injectors? Its possible that the injectors are the wrong flowrate.

 

Yeah, I will see if I can get to her this weekend and check it out. I'll have a friend come along so that way I know I am looking at the right thing. I bought the car in August, and I am just now learning about engines, I had never Bern exposed to them before. My parents need help to put a battery in a car, if that says anything! Lol. I know cleaning the TB unit can help "wake up" a 305, and to me, mine looks a bit gunked up with what looks like dried fuel?

As for your battery, cmon now, its a peice of rubber and one bolt or a rubber boot, bolt and rod

 

I believe i have a TBI unit in my garage right now with the same setup TV cable, ill check here in a min, ill give it to you 10$ (covers the cut off disks ) and the cost of shipping

 

Here are some pics of the modded one i have laying around, it probably took me 8 hours of dremeling and polishing. I took down the shafts as well, you can see in the picture, talk about improved airflow!

Put it on my car and the cables didnt line up, but it looks right for your application
