knock sensor from a 305

what will be the result or problem running a 305 knock sensor on a 350 tbi engine ????????????

Im having issues with my 91 TBI not idling so we did several tests and were going to adjust the timing but after we unplugged the EST, the car ran fine. Would this conclude that the EST is bad or the ESC? The car did feel like it was under load though. When the EST was connected, it would start and then stall within a matter of minutes.
