no more check engine light, but sputtering still
no more check engine light, but sputtering still
if someone could enlighten me with their knowledge please, I had my service engine light come on in my 91 firebird and eventually someone recommended i should get a tbi kit and change out all those old rings and gaskets. i went ahead and did that, no more service engine light, but i still get the occasional sputtering start with smoke following from the exhaust, mostly white smoke it seems.
I'd really appreciate any and all replies

Re: no more check engine light, but sputtering still
need more info that stated...........how many miles, do you think it is EFI related?
white smoke means coolant, so are you having to fill radiator?
if not coolant does it smell like fuel......
the more info you can give the easier this can be

Re: no more check engine light, but sputtering still
ill check on the coolant, my check engine light just came back on for the first time in about a week, my engine has about 130,000 miles. although i wasnt around to witness it, but my brother claims he had most of the engine rebuilt when I was in the army. Im not too sure what the EFI is, anyways sorry for not being too specific thanks for any and all tips
