Carb To TBI
Its been a while but right now I deployed and am planning how to finish my project. I would like to convert over to tbi and would like to know what I need if I am just getting a stock setup from a JY.
Engine 350 (bored .40)
Intake: Edelbrock Performer RPM
Headers: Heddmen Long Tube
Heads Planning on using Edelbrock E-Series
Cam (stock but want to up grade)
Any Ideas, on easiest most cost effective way.

Re: Carb To TBI
you can get almost all of the stuff at the junkyard, cheap too, but I would get a new fuel pump, and you will need to get into chip burning or get EBL or something along those lines to see the best performance.

I am assuming that your 350 is an early carbed car - i.e. 2nd or 3rd gen and you do not have to deal with emissions (please clarify). As previous posters have stated get a complete TBI setup from JY.
You'll need the following from your JY:
ECM
TB and engine compartment fuel lines
distributor and coil
complete unmolested ECM harness (car or truck see below)

sensors, relays and actuators.
CCP canister
all brackets and fasteners
Things to buy:
Depending on the type of vehicle you have (actually gas tank) inline fuel pump or in tank fuel pump.
Things to fabricate
New 3/8" fuel supply line (use old fuel line as return)
The key to successful and low cost carb to TB swap is planing and making sure to have all parts on hand before starting a swap. Above list is incomplete as more information about your ride is needed. But it will give you a good idea on what is involved.

Re: Carb To TBI
Sorry about the delay in response internet here in Iraq is slow and time is hard to come by.
The block came out of a 79 suberban, it has a 2 bolt main, Emissions in my state in not required to get tagged.
It is currently in a 1984 Z28. I was planning to do a inline pump due to having problems getting to the tank.

Re: Carb To TBI
Well getting ready to get back. I just bought a TBI System from Third Gen Ranch. I am thinking of getting the DynamicEFI EBL for it. Hope to get home soon to put it together.
