If I recall correctly my best time before the heads and cam was 15.5 maybe 15.3 @ 85-88mph. Thats with a tune, Hooker 2055s, empty cat, 3" exhaust and 3.73 gears (before I blew up that rear end) and it dyno'd 160rwhp/250ft/lbs.

 

How do you tune with ebl?

 

You buy it, install it, READ ALOT of how-tos, make changes, verify the changes do what you want, repeat.
There are tons of write-ups. I am not computer savy at all... And I did it. And my tune is not perfect, I am always learning how to make it better.

 

Too bad the photo function is busted on this thread. A thread dedicated to the 5.0s and I know there are some really nice cars here.

 

Well my rebuilt 5.0 was just finished not long ago ... .030 over , speed pro flat tops , 10.6:1 compression , balanced , trick flow super 23 175cc heads , summit dual plane intake ,custom CAI, summit shorty headers, full 3" system , 620CFM TBI & EBL , with WBo2 and 68# injectors @ 27 psi ... We r thinking somewhere from 340-370fwhp after I get the tuned dialed in ... Has lots of suspension mods 4:10 posi with T-5 trans and about 250-250lbs lighter than a stock base model firebird and 200 of those lbs are from firewall forward

Edit : cam is a Howard's hydraulic roller 214/218@ .050 .488/.495 lift on 114 LSA plus 1.6 RR comes out to .520/.528 lift I think

 

When It was mostly stock with 200k miles same shorty headers and exhaust system cutout open same TBI same 1.6RR same CAI and same suspension mods as now ... It ran 9.802 in 1/8th @ 72mph with some EBL tuning of course

 

350 tbi with lots of mods. I'll dig up the dyno sheet but I remember it was about 298whp and just over 300wtq. It should be making more but we were having lots of trouble. Need a EBL badly.

 

damn i never got my car on a dyno when i had ebl flash going felt strong then..... so long ago..........
