which weiand intake to use? or others?

Ok so im doing my research on intake manifolds and Ive read the weiand one is the best carb type manifold to use. There are a bunch of them and im kinda confused because the weiand site isnt very good at helping you find the right one. The summit racing site is better but isnt giving me the dual plane one i was reading about at work. I saw a couple with rpm bands from idle to 6500 and others from 1500 to 7000rpm. The torque converter is a 2k stall and i usually shift at 6k so the idle to 6500 would be fine.

Some details as to what Im gonna do with this motor....
Im planning on building the motor for track racing and autocross. as it is right now its just a l03 with some TB work and full exhasut and headers with this cam, duration 258/264, Lift .480/.488... 206 int./212 exh.@50 and a chip. There will also be no emissions stuff. Shes been pretty quick down the track but i have a few things i want to do before it goes into the new car. Im gonna use the 081 TPI ported heads and SOME intake manifold. Which is the last hard part i need to consider and need some advise on it. The TBI stickys are a little out of date and most the pictures are dead links now so some help would be great.

8024 or 8170?
performer or performer rpm?

The Performer is a little better then stock. But not enough to justify the cost of purchasing one.

I'm partial to the Performer RPM (NON-airgap). It will work well on your planned set up and provide some room to grow.

As for the Weiand intakes. I've heard good things about the Stealth dual plane intakes. The 8170 being an example. The recommended Weiand single plane has been discontinued. Can't recall the part number of it.

You may want to think about hood clearance if that is important. From what I understand the performer rpm and the weiand stealth are taller and wont clear a stock hood.

Re: which weiand intake to use? or others?

i thought that these cars dont respond very well to single plane intakes since they have such a higher operatiing range. Max rpm on this engine will be 6k, torque converter on this is a 2k unit.

My biggest concerns with the intake is the hood clearance and the throttle and TV cable bracket. I have the stock intake now and a one inch TB spacer and a very thin open air cleaner and have zero clearance left.

Are you opposed to a small cowl hood? 2 inch would probably do. Gives you room to play with.

no Im not but i already have the early 3rd gen factory fiberglass hood and an intake is much cheaper than a another fiberglass hood. I could modify this hood but the benifets would have to be mind boggling to get a intake that didnt fit under my stock hood
